LLANDUDNO lifted the North Wales Coast FA Challenge Cup for the first time in 13 years with a 4-1 win over Flint Town United in the final at Conwy.
Two goals from man of the match winner Danny Hughes either side of half-time set them on their way and they dominating much of the second half after that.
Flint started strongly, forcing a number of corners in the opening 20 minutes and Darren Johnson went close with a header that was just wide, while Llandudno keeper Sean Pearson came off his line well to save at the feet of Shaun Beck.
But Llandudno took the lead just before half-time when Gwyn Peters played a free kick from 25 yards low into the box for Hughes to get the touch which diverted it inside the far post.
Llandudno doubled their lead six minutes in to the second half from another Peters free kick, which he chipped in for Hughes to send a looping header over keeper Andy Hughes.
Alun Roberts steered in the third goal on 72 minutes after Darren Jones got to the byline before pulling the ball back, and five minutes later Llandudno got a fourth when they broke from a Flint free kick. Ben Dews headed the ball clear from inside his own area and Lee Thomas took it on before playing in substitute Bryn Jenkins to slide past the keeper.
Flint got a late goal back on 88 minutes when Alun Roberts was red carded for handling the ball on the goal line from a Flint corner and Steve Hughes scored from the penalty spot, but Llandudno were worthy winners in the end.
