IAN WOOSNAM has confirmed today (Tuesday) that he will be competing at Conwy in June for one of the biggest prize funds on the European Seniors Golf Tour.
Captain of the European team that won the Ryder Cup by a record-equalling nine points in 2006, Woosnam was the first Welshman to win a major championship when winning the US Masters in 1991, and in the same year he was ranked the No 1 golfer in the world.
He joins other former Ryder Cup players Sandy Lyle, Costantino Rocco and Jose Rivera who have already signed up for the Conwy tournament.
