CONWY UNITED went level on points with Bethesda Athletic at the top of the Pentrathe Honda Welsh Alliance as they came from 0-2 down to beat Amlwch Town 4-2 on Thursday night.
They lost goalkeeper Kyle Dent with a knee injury after 20 minutes and conceded two goals, but Paul Cassidy pulled one back before half-time and the Musselmen dominated the second half to add further goals from Lee Craven, Callum Vernon and Ryan Watson.
"I told the players to keep the ball on the floor in the second half and we were much better after that," said manager Barry Jones.
Lee Craven and Tom Pate were outstanding up front in the second half, while Rob Marsh and Aaron Pritchard had excellent games at the back.
Pritchard, however, will miss this Saturday's game at Rhydywmyn after being called up for the Welsh Colleges team.
