ANTHONY WRIGHT broke his scoring duck with a four-goal haul as Colwyn Bay beat Alsager Town 6-2 on Tuesday night to get themselves back on track after two successive away defeats.
That's 15 goals the Seagulls have scored in their last three home games, yet it started badly on Tuesday as Alsager took the lead after only six minutes when the Bay were caught out by a long diagonal ball.
They responded with a spell of sustained pressure and got a fortunate equaliser on 14 minutes when Wright's shot from 20 yards hit a divot and bobbled over the diving keeper for his first goal since signing from Vauxhall Motors last month.
John Lawless then produced a maserclass in wing play to set up two more goals for Neil Black and Wright before half-time, and Wright completed his hat-tick from the penalty spot early in the second half after Paul Williams was tripped inside the area.
Further goals from Joe Fowler and Wright made it six, before Alsager broke away to get their second.
