NEIL BLACK scored his second hat-trick of the season to help Colwyn Bay win 6-2 at Spalding United and move three places up the Unibond Division One South table.
The Seagulls were 3-0 up inside 15 minutes with Black scoring twice and Mark Quayle getting the other.
John Lawless added a fourth before half-time and Black completed his treble five minutes into the second half before substitute Anthony Murt came off the bench to score for the third game in a row six minutes from the end.
COLWYN BAY Rugby team also put up a good performance before losing 19-12 to Division Two West side Loughor in the Konica Minolta Cup.
They led with an early try by Patrick Leach and Mark Earl later added a second try, but a missed conversion and two kickable penalty chances cost them in the end as Loughor won with a try, a conversion, three penalties and a drop goal.

WELL DONE again Colwyn Bay FC. Your reports often and quite rightly note the importance of John Lawless' contribution. But my favorite player is Neil Black and when he's fired up and running at defences with his lightening pace he must be one of those player's our opposition fear the most. The only thing Neil needs to do now is put in these kind of performances against the better teams in the league.
Also well done to Colwyn Bay rugby team your performances in the Welsh Cup this year have done the town proud.
Tim: Black has certainly refound his form recently with six goals in the last three games as well as setting up at least three others. he can really test defences with his pace, particularly running on to long kicks from Jamie Speare and I believe he has the potential to top 30 goals this season if he can stay clear of injury.
