COLWYN BAY won another penalty shoot out to knock Sheffield out of the FA Trophy on Tuesday night and clinch a home tie against NIgel Clough's Burton Albion in the first round proper in two weeks time.
The Seagulls were without Neil Black (injured), Martin Crowder (suspended) and Tim Brandreth (working) but produced a tremendous performance with their understrength squad.
They were twice in front through Mark Qualye and a wonder goal by Adam Wade who beat two defenders before bending a shot into the top corner of the net, but Sheffield hit back to equalise on both occasions and take the tie into the shoot-out.
John Lawless saw his spot kick saved, but Sheffield blasted their second penalty over the bar and Quayle, Anthony Murt, James Olsen and Kyle Armstrong all scored to take it to sudden death.
Sheffield then shot wide with their sixth spot kick and Steve Wynne scored to give the Bay a tremendous win.
