THE finalists for the 2007 Conwy Borough Sports Awards have now been decided and are published in this week's North Wales Weekly News.
They have been selected from over 70 nominations and include five British sporting champions and several Welsh champions.
They will be invited ato attend the gala presentation evening at Venue Cymru in Llandudno on November 9 when Olympic bronze medal swimmer Steve Parry will announce the overall winners.
This week's Weekly News also includes a round-up of the opening matches in the Bayonet Winter Golf Scratch League, plus all the local club results, and the usual round-up of football, hockey, snooker and darts news.
The junior sports page features pictures of the Mochdre Under-13s Eryri Cricket League championship-winning team, Llandudno Cricket Club's junior award winners and Penmaenmawr Phoenix Under-8 football team plus all the junior football results, scorers and tables and junior rugby reports.
