THERE is news of some outstanding individual sporting achievements in this week's North Wales Weekly News.
Blind swimmer Rowena Breese from Old Colwyn won a bronze medal at the World Transplant Games in Bangkok, Colwyn Bay schoolteacher Dave Robson regained his one kilometre sprint Welsh Track Cycling title, and road runner Tammy Lewis-Jones was first Welsh female at the Cardiff 10K as she gained her first international vest for Wales.
The junior sports page also features a UK gold medal for young Deganwy shot putter Becca Chin and a title success for Llandudno golfer Amy Boulden in the Welsh Junior Open, plus news of a new championship record and results and pictures from Colwyn Bay Athletics Club's 30th anniversary September Games which attracted over 200 athletes to Eirias Park last weekend.
