A FUNDRAISING match between Colwyn Bay Football Club staff and a supporters team is the highlight of an FA Cup Final special day at Llanelian Road this Saturday (May 19) which will be attended by manager Gary Finley and the senior team players.
The game kicks off at noon and is followed by the presentation of the first team end-of-season awards and the FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester United on the big screen in the clubhouse. Food and drink is available on what should be a fun day.
The staff team, which will be managed by former youth team coach and club stalwart Glyn 'Jabbas' Jones, is expected to include sponsor Richie Rhodes in goal, under-13 coaches Mark Hodgson and Mark Williams, directors Phil Jackson and Grant McIndoe, vice-chairman Andy Owens, kit manager Peter Owens, Raise the Roof fundraiser Arthur Holden, programme editor David Jones, steward Neil Brampton and Mark Williams from programme printers Powlsons Limited.
Groundsman Elfed Morris will manage the supporters team, which is made up of volunteers who have made a donation to club funds to play.
